WHY SO MATERIALISITIC...must stop shopping and all thoughts re: shopping!

So ... end of financial year sales are on and I AM JUST ITCHING TO BUY STUFF.


I see so many knickknacks that I want like earrings/ jewellery (I only really wear 2 pairs...so what's the point of getting NEW ones), SHOES (eyeballing all the little ankle boots...I really should not get these until Russia or eastern Europe so at least there is SOME kind of meaning / memory attached to them vs a random old pair from NW or W...plus just had a look online on NW and their styles in my size aren't very appealing) and STATIONARY (what the fuck I didn't even know stationary is something that I could want!!! It's like I want to buy the most unnecessary and useless things JUST BECAUSE THERE IS A SALE. I wouldn't give a second glance if this shit wasn't on sale WHAT'S WRONG WITH MEEEEE. Gotta stop falling for this mindless, capitalistic and materialistic dribble!)


...on that note also been eyeballing this beautiful Kenzo Rizo bag as well...but knowing my lack of budget... NO CAN DO. CANT GET IT. MUST STOP LOOKING. ABORT ABORT (it's 30% on farfetch...*cries*)

I've been watching far too many fashion videos as well so I want in on ridiculous 1 season-long trends like the pearly jeans (OH SO CHIC) although I have the sneaking suspicion that they only look good on dreadfully tall, elven-esque women whose clothes flow and drape effortless on their 34-24-34 frame (plus a Chanel boy bag would definitely amp the aesthetic...)

Is it possible to feel bored during a time when I should be excited planning future things incl holidays and events with friends, lonely and needing in a relationship and bored during what should be an exciting time at work? Rather...is it normal? Just been feeling a bit blase and unsatisified....not sure if Im making it worse and making it a "real" problem by continue to dwell on it and thinking and writing about it. Thing is I have no reason to feel this way...maybe just hyper-aware that this situation that I am in can be taken away at any time. That I could be disappointed, betrayed because of my expectations of how things should go (which are usually higher than reality) Maybe it's just ennui - boredom and restlessness because not too many things are trully going wrong.
